HOW IT WORKS
Visit the Gallery to explore our projects and craftsmanship.
Get in touch using our inquiry form and one of our team members will follow up within 3 business days to discuss your project.
Based on information gathered from your inquiry form and follow-up discussions, we will provide you with a ballpark pricing schedule and terms. Our goal is to have enough information to provide an estimate that will be within +/- 10% of your final estimate. If our initial estimate works within your budget, you will receive an invoice for 5% of the provided pricing schedule. This non-refundable deposit covers design time and information intake meetings. An initial vision and design consultation is followed by two separate meetings with a designer. The deposit is applied to your cabinetry purchase. If you choose not to order or your project is postponed, you will be provided with drawings and project details we have created.
Now, it is time to take a deeper dive into your project and gather the information listed below to ensure your project is tailored to your expectations and vision.
––––––––––––––––––
Style of Cabinetry: Choose from Euro, face frame, or inset custom cabinetry.
Finishes: Select wood species or material (acrylic/composite/TFL), color, and door style.
Measurements: These can be initially taken from house plans or prints provided by you or the contractor. If none are available or your project is a remodel, Norcia Fine Cabinetry will execute a site-visit and take needed measurements. This is also a great time to take before pictures that will help us get a better understanding of your space.
Functional Items: Sinks, appliances, mechanical, and electrical selection and location are critical to accurate design and intended functionality of your space. These items will need to be selected before design can begin.
Specifications: Next, we will need you to provide us with accurate product information or specs for all sinks, appliances, lighting, and other specialty items that will be incorporated in your project.
Timeline: In order to accurately schedule production and installation, we will need you to provide us with the date your project will be ready for cabinetry. This will allow us to process and complete your project as efficiently as possible.
We will schedule a meeting with a designer to discuss all the information we have collected for your job to achieve your design and layout preferences. Post meeting, you will receive drawings for review and revision. At this time, a second meeting will be scheduled to review any revisions and provide any feedback before design approval.
Once your design is approved, you will receive a final estimate that includes all aspects of your project. This will be an accurate reflection of your specific design, selections, and customization. After estimate approval, you will receive an invoice with payment terms and schedules.
Your project will be scheduled for production, delivery, and installation based on the acceptance of the final estimate and receipt of the first deposit. The typical lead time for production of custom cabinetry is 10-12 weeks. However, lead times will vary depending on your cabinetry selections. Norcia Fine Cabinetry will communicate schedule changes to all parties as quickly as possible.
You will receive a two-week notification prior to delivery. We will also confirm that all work needed to be completed prior to installation of cabinets has been accomplished. This includes flooring and a conditioned environment for when cabinets arrive. Norcia Fine Cabinetry cannot warranty cabinetry delivered to a project that does not have conditioned air. It is expected that Norcia Fine Cabinetry will have unimpeded access to the jobsite on delivery days. This will ensure the product you receive stays in the best condition possible and avoids unnecessary damage or defects.
Norcia Fine Cabinetry has a unique process for installation that will result in a final product void of unnecessary and preventable defects. In Phase 1, our installation team will set cabinet boxes, drawer boxes, fillers, and end panels. This will allow other trades (counter tops, plumbing, electrical, trim, paint, and flooring) to finish their work without damaging our products. After these trades have finished their work, we will return to complete Phase 2 and install doors, decorative trim, and hardware. Any punch-out work will be executed following Phase 2. Change orders will be scheduled according to the time placed and scope of change. Change orders placed after delivery will likely require a typical production schedule of 10-12 weeks.
